Quick & Easy Fruit Cobbler

1/2 or 1 stick butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
dash of salt
1 cup milk
2 cups fruit
sprinkle of cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
Sprinkle of brown sugar (3 tablespoons)

Melt butter in an 8 x 8 pan in the oven.
I use a pyrex one.
Mix/sift together 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder and a dash of salt.
Stir in 1 cup milk.
You don't need to use a mixer for this just stir by hand.
Pour mixture over the melted butter (do not stir mixture into melted butter).
 Last spoon fruit of your choice (cherries, apples, or peaches on top of cake mixture)
A little sprinkle of cinnamon and brown sugar on top of fruit is good.
Bake cobbler for 60 minutes at 350' F.
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
